3 Days in Marrakesh: The Perfect Itinerary
Three days is enough for Marrakesh’s medina, its palaces and gardens, and a taste of the Atlas beyond. The old city is a walled maze, so this plan keeps you inside the ramparts for two days, then escapes to the mountains or desert on the third.
Best for: First-timers and couples wanting the souks, the riads and a mountain or desert day trip.

Marrakesh itinerary tips
- Agree a price before any service or photo — snake charmers, water sellers and “guides” all expect payment.
- Haggle in the souks: start well below the asking price and be ready to walk away.
- Unofficial guides will offer to lead you through the maze; a polite, firm “no thank you” is fine — your riad can arrange a real one.
