4 Days in Paris: The Perfect Itinerary

Four days lets you cover Paris’s icons and a couple of neighbourhoods without a forced march, plus a day for Versailles. Each day is built around one area so you stroll between sights rather than crossing the city.

Best for: First-timers and couples who want the icons plus time to wander and sit in cafés.

Paris itinerary tips

  • Pre-book the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Versailles — all sell out and the queues are brutal otherwise.
  • A carnet of metro tickets or a Navigo Easy card is the cheapest way to get around.
  • Keep your bag zipped and in front on the metro and at the Eiffel Tower — pickpockets work the crowds.
