5 Days in Bali: The Perfect Itinerary
Bali is an island, not a city, so this plan moves between two bases — cultural Ubud and the southern beaches — to cut down on long transfers. Five days gives you temples, rice terraces, beaches and a clifftop sunset.
Best for: Couples, friends and solo travellers wanting culture and beaches without rushing.

Bali itinerary tips
- Pre-book private drivers or transfers — Bali has no real public transport and distances take longer than they look.
- Start temple and rice-terrace visits early to beat both the crowds and the midday heat.
- Carry cash for smaller warungs and entry donations, and dress modestly (a sarong) at temples.
