How to get to Taj Mahal
From Delhi, the Gatimaan or Shatabdi express trains reach Agra in about 1.5–2 hours, making a comfortable day trip. The Yamuna Expressway is a ~3–3.5 hour drive.
Best time to visit
October–March for cooler, clearer weather; avoid the scorching April–June heat. The Taj is closed on Fridays. Go at sunrise year-round for the best light and fewest people.
